Step 3
As of recently the name ISIS has been making headlines on newspapers, televisions, and
other forms of media. They are a terrorist group located in the Middles East; they have no
bounds. They are terrible people and need to be stopped because they are ruthless, very
influential, and they are resilient.
Firstly ISIS is made up of a bunch of extremists that have no remorse, they kill in the
name of Allah so to them, they are doing right by killing hundreds of civilians. They sent a video
to the US of the beheading of James Foley, a brave American war journalist, along with the
threat of beheading another American prisoner if the bombing does not stop. Unfortunately the
threat was carried out. This does not even scratch the surface to what they have done. ISIS has
slaughtered hundreds of civilians for not following their obscene rules or believing differently.
For instance they banned children from learning math and social studies. In February 2014 ISIS
was detached from al-Qaeda, for being too extreme. ISIS is ruthless and must be stopped.
ISIS is very influential with how they gain support. They give many speeches making
them out to be the good guys that are being hurt for no reason. They use the air strike bombing
that many countries are conducting no as a way to gain followers. More than 100 Americans
have joined ISIS and hundreds from Germany, Britain, and other European countries have joined
ISIS. They either leave their country or fight with ISIS or they are on their own soil waiting to
strike at citizens of their country. The white widow was a British housewife that is now training
young people to become suicide bombers. The influence of ISIS must be stopped.
ISIS is strong in that what we are doing hasnt stopped them from doing what they are
doing. We have started massive airstrikes in ISIS locations, but it has given the opposite effect of

what we thought would happen. These actions are actually gaining support for ISIS. Obama has
even stated in a press conference that we have underestimated ISIS. He says this because we
have bombed some of their big bases, taken out high leaders, and hurt their source of income but
they still stand strong. They continue their march to take over the Middle East with gaining
numbers. ISIS is not giving up unless we take more military action.
ISIS is a group of murders that need to be stopped. They are aggressive, influential, and
will not back down unless more action is taken. It is important to us because their influence may
spread more through the US.
