What is the Big Bang Theory?

Theory that explains the beginning of the universe
Originated from a singularity* (Big Bang Theory)
Estimated to have occurred 14 billion years ago

*Singularity: Singularities are areas that defy all the known rules that apply to our
understanding of physics. They are known to exist in black holes and are infinite
density points.

After a long period of the

universe forming stars,
galaxies, and various other
gigantic space entities the sun
was formed which began the
creation of our solar system.
After the formation of galaxies,
some galaxies collided creating
a massive energy zone which
lead to the first black holes ever

Creation of a Theory
In 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that our universe is expanding at an incredibly
rapid speed
He found that each galaxy was moving at speed proportional to the distance away
from our solar system
With these findings he began to formulate the Big Bang Theory (Kristen Ericson)

Understanding of a Theory
Big Bang was what sent everything speeding out
The speed of expansion is so high due to the lack of gravity in space
Microwave Background radiation mapping proved that the center of the universe
was cold after the occurrence that released all of its energy into space

Big Bang Creates a Redshift

Redshift is distant galaxies that are expanding at a fast speed
Increasing space between galaxies
Cooling temperatures in space as galaxies can no longer keep each other warm
Evidence in support of the Big Bang Theory (Kristen Ericson)

What is Cosmic Background Radiation

Radiation exerted by the mass of energy from the explosion of the Big Bang
A glow can be detected indicating a zone where the Big Bang would have occurred
Immense amounts of radiation can be detected due to the extreme levels of
radiation after the Big Bang (Big Bang Theory)

Effects of Big Bang

B-mode polarization occurred which is enormous amounts of gravity
swirling around and warping light (Estes Adam, Astronomers)
All stars, planets, and space objects were created
Space, time, and matter were created (Murdin P, Astronomy and
Physics)
