Question

Comments

Is the graphic of suitable size and

proportion bearing in mind its
purpose?

Yes it is of suitable size because it is A4 which is standard

size for most magazines. This because it allows you to
have more room to work with and it allows the vector
graphics to be better quality because they will have to be
larger, Furthermore it means that you will be able to have
more writing on the graphic, this means that it will have
more detail.

Have a suitable range of editing

techniques have been used?

I have only used two which are both listed in the transform
section; these techniques are the rotate tool and the scale
tool.

Is the graphic an accurate

representation of the object or
character it is intended to portray?

Yes because it was created to advertise the phone I have

designed. It does this by having a large graphic of the
phone in the centre which means that it is more likely to be
seen and it has bold writing next to the graphic, which
means that it will stand out further because the text is a
contrasting colour to the background, white.

Is the graphic of acceptable

quality?

Yes because there is very little pixels showing on the

images, this is because it is a vector graphic. Also the
writing is also acceptable because it is readable, which is
good quality because some magazine covers have text that
is hard to read.

What do you think the strengths of

this graphic are?

The strengths are the way it will stand out because of the
bold writing and the size of the main image because it is
large enough that it some may be able to see it from a
distance.

What do you think the

weaknesses of this graphic are?

The weakness may be the fact that there is too much text
on it this may make it confusing for some of the people
hoping to buy the magazine, but this could also be a good
thing because it is telling what it in the magazine. The text
is all over the place. This could be solved by making it neat
and tidy, by giving the cover a better layout.

Overall do you think the graphic is

fit for its intended purpose?

It is fit for the purpose because it stands out which means

that it should sell more copies. Furthermore I have made
the phone the main focal point, which means that it is
advertising the phone more.

Do you think it will appeal to its

target audience?

Any other comments?

Yes because I have stuck to neutral colours. This means

that it will be fit for both genders. The age is fine because I
have made sure that it is not biased towards one age
group. Also I have not used biased or patronising language.

Thank you for your time!
