When I think about my future career as an educator, I think about how essential it is to

create a classroom that is welcoming and engaging. It has to be an environment where students
feel safe and confident to share their thoughts and ideas with each other. Every lesson has to
allow students to connect the content they are learning to real-life. Promoting diversity and
supporting all learners is also essential because it ensures that every students ideas and opinions
are valued and respected.
In my future classroom, I will create a classroom environment where students are given
the tools they need to have a successful learning experience. I will provide accommodations and
modifications when necessary to ensure every student has a high level of comprehension across
all content-areas. I will ensure that my students are approaching their learning with confidence
and I will ensure they grasp and retain the content that is being provided. I will do this by
building a relationship with students and their families. I will create an engaging curriculum and
encourage students to be active learners in their education.
When I think about how I will respect and support a diverse classroom of learners in my
future classroom, I think about The Sage Conceptual Framework. The Esteves School of
Educations motto, To Be, To Know, To Do, prepares their educators to translate student
learning into action and application and to lead and serve their communities by building
successful partnerships with their colleagues, the community, and the families of their students.
This respects and supports diverse classroom learners because it allows the teacher to learn more
about their students and their background. If they build relationships with their students and their
families they are more aware of the dynamics of their students communities and they become
more familiar with ways to connect with their students and how to peak their learning interest.

The Sage Conceptual Framework also states that teachers are expected to know and
respond to the strength and needs of all learners in their classroom. They are also expected to
know curricular context and instruction including technology and its application. This will allow
for teachers to fully support their students in their areas of need and it also allows teachers to be
aware of their resources if they are needed. This ensures that the teacher and the students are
successful in the classroom.
To do whats necessary to ensure the success of all learners by listening deeply to the
experiences and perspectives of those within the community to ensure a healthy, safe learning
environment supports my belief that in order for a teacher to be successful in their practice, they
have to be an active listener. This techniques assists teachers in getting the opinions and
perspective of others who are active parts in the community to ensure that they are implementing
the most effective ways to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
The Charlotte Danielson Framework ties into the expectations of the Sage Conceptual
Framework. Charlotte Danielsons framework states that teachers need to plan and prepare to
ensure they have the knowledge of the context and pedagogy, their students and their resources.
It also states that teachers are expected to create a welcoming environment that demonstrates
diversity, respect and effective classroom procedures and behavior. Teachers are also expected to
communicate with students using questioning and discussion techniques. They are also expected
to engage students in learning and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness. Their professional
responsibilities focuses on reflecting, growing and developing professionally and showing
professionalism. This framework and the Sage Conceptual framework sums up the overall
expectations of a teacher to ensure they have an effective classroom that supports diversity and
respect and they ensure that all students are safe and successful in their learning process.
