Activity #1

Students will break up into two teams, teacher will


count off 1 and 2 s
Teacher will assign team a side of the floor using the
lines on the basketball court (either right of the of the
key extended or left side of the key extended) from the
baseline to half court
Each student from each team will pick up 2 hot spots
The teacher will ask for every student to place their hot
spots anywhere on the floor in their designated area
Teacher will inform the students that their task is to get
from the baseline to past the half court line, while only
stepping on only the hot spots.
Teacher will then assign a designated hot spot mover
from each team
These students are allowed to change the location of
any 3 hot spots on their side
Students will then attempt to cross their side of the
court
If any player on their team touches the floor, the entire
team needs to restart
Once completed the hot spot movers will then be
asked to take away 5 hot spots from their opponents
side but they cant take 2 that are next to each other
Teams will then be informed that they will now switch
sides

Baseline

Students will attempt to across new side of court with


same rules as before
Once completed the hot spot movers will then be
asked to take away any 2 hot spots from their side
Students will attempt to once again cross their side of
the court with same rules as before
Transition
Teacher will ask for students to pick up hot spots and
come back to meeting area.
Activity 2
Informing:
Students will stay in same groups. They will then stand
in single file line. The teacher will then ask for half of
each group to face one way and half of the other group
to face the opposite way (they should be facing each
other)

Teacher will then ask students to change the line so


that students every other students is face a different
way
The rules to the game are that no if a student moves,
they cant leave more than one person facing the
opposite way in between them and a teammate facing
the same way.
If students are able to complete it task. See if they can
repeat it

Informing:
Students will break up into four groups. Teacher will
count off by 4s

Eachs groups task is to balance a ball on top of a


platform and used the 8 lines extending from the
platform as handles
Students will work in their groups to move the object on
the platform from the top of the key extending to the
baseline

If the ball falls off the platform while in the process of


moving it, the team needs to start over.
Once the team has completed it, see if they can repeat
the process
