Located in Church Hill, MD
Free standing emergency department with 20 beds,
radiology and ultrasound
Differ than most EDs in that we will treat patients as
inpatient
200 employees including MDs, RNs, radiology techs,
secretarial staff

Over 50 nurses with some new grads, some with


10+ years of experience
Monthly staff meetings, open door policy for all
leaders, mentor partnership with local facilities,
training classes, anonymous online
questions/complaints/compliance link for all
staff on the intranet

Nursing

Must follow the Nurse Practice Act for the State of Maryland
Ensure that consent forms are completed before patient care
is done, expect for medical emergencies
Be the patient advocate
Prevent patient neglect
Ensure safety when administering medications
