Parkchester, Bronx, NY Statement from Assemblyman Luis R. Sepulveda regarding

remarks made by PBA President Patrick Lynch:
In recent weeks, our citys entire justice system has been heavily scrutinized. It
is therefore understandable that those who do lawfully protect and serve us may feel
unduly criticized; however inflammatory remarks will not help to heal any wounds
inflicted during this turbulent period. They simply serve to strain relations at a time when
cohesion is needed most and to agitate citizens, who would prefer to see a strong, united
police force and governing body. I ask that Mr. Lynch apologize to both the Mayor and
the Speaker so that they may mend relations and continue working toward a safer more
unified New York.
