Descriptive Title of Internship Position:
Job description including general duties to be undertaken as part of the internship:
The marketing intern will assist the ecommerce team in performing the merchandising,
marketing, and fulfillment tasks of running the online store. The primary responsibilities of the
internship will be to:
-Assist the ecommerce team with uploading products to the online store
-Fulfill online orders
-Run all Noir social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
-Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
-Assist with fulfillment of marketing offers
-Create marketing campaigns
-Attend major school events to distribute marketing material (flyers, business cards, etc.)

The students work should meet this description, the student should receive adequate
supervision, the student should have a safe place to work, and the student should have the
opportunity to fulfill learning requirements.
The student should provide diligent performance of work, safeguard the interests of the
organization, and share information that may impact the students ability to do the job
including the level of internship course for which the student has registered.
Description of compensation including amount, how and when paid and treatment of taxes, as
well as, facilities, and supervision to be provided by the worksite organization to the student:
This is a non-paid internship being done for credit only.
Units of credit to be earned: 4 (require a minimum of 45 hours of work per credit)

Start date: 9/15/2014
End date: 12/13/14
Weekly schedule: Mondays 6-8PM: In addition to the 2-hour meetings every Monday, the intern must
meet the minimum of 8-10 hours/ week criteria by doing multiple different responsibilities such as
updating social media sites, attending events on campus which will be scheduled as they are listed and
attending different marketing events in which they will plan.
Grading
Intern: The student should follow the syllabus provided by the instructor.
Supervisor: The supervisor should write an evaluation of the student and send it to the instructor by
semesters end. It should be signed and on company letterhead. This letter should verify the number
hours the student has worked and give a descriptive evaluation of the quality of work provided by the
student during the internship. A copy of the evaluation should be provided to the student. Please note
that students will be allowed to view the evaluation.
Instructors access to evaluate the student
Early in the internship the student should coordinate and the organization should welcome an onsite
visit at the worksite for the instructor. The onsite visit should include a tour of the facility and the
students workspace, and an opportunity to meet and talk briefly with the supervisor.
Student Interns Goals and Objectives (including project plan)
Goal: Learn the process of performing market research: gathering data, quantifying trends and
presenting the results
Objective: Gather information about how to gain more followers for social media accounts for the store
on the daily. By the end of the semester, I hope to achieve an increase publicity and number of followers
on the social media accounts for the online store.
Objective: Research trends and key hashtags for usage in all social media accounts and participate in
the development of new customers. By the end of the semester I hope to achieve a gain in

Objective: Plan, coordinate and execute my own marketing event to bring in more customers for the
online store by the end of the semester.
Objective: Collect ideas and learn to use adobe photo shot to perhaps create flyers for further publicity
gains of the online store.
Project plan:
I will be individually planning and executing my own marketing even to promote Noir to the community.
First, I am going to do some research on some creative ways to market fashionable clothing. I then will
come up with an outline for my marketing event and also come up with a budget if executing the
marketing event at a bigger event where there are vendors showcasing their businesses. I will plan how
to publicize the event and hopefully execute a successful event by the end of the semester.
