Desired State of the District
The Department of Education provides greater opportunity of all
learners in all levels as indicated in the efforts for Education for All. Various
activities, interventions and educational programs are being implemented to
cater the needs of every individual clientele.
In the next year to come, it is therefore desired to improve or
maintain as rank 2 in the division ranking the performance in the National
Achievement Test (NAT).
Through the strong determination of the district supervisor, school
heads, and teachers, with the partnership PTA and other community
stakeholders, Manjuyod District 2 will do the best to achieve the following
objectives.
Objectives:
1. Increase Participation Rate, Cohort Survival Rate, Completion Rate,
Retention, Rate and Graduation Rate by at least 5% over last years;
2. Decrease the number of non-readers and non-numerates by at least 10%.
3. Decrease dropout rate by at least 2% .
4. Increase Pupil/Student Performance in the NAT by at least 2 % over
the previous year;
5. Manage excellently the district operations and activities with at least
95% participation and involvement of all stakeholders.

Vision:
We dream of Filipinos who passionately love their country and whose
values and competencies enable them to realize their full potential and
contribute meaningfully to building the nation. As a learner-centered public
institution, the Department of Education continuously improves itself to better
serve its stakeholders.
Mission:
To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable,
culture-based, and complete basic education where: Students learn in a
child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment; Teachers
facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner; Administrators and
staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an enabling and supportive
environment for effective learning to happen; Family community, and other
stakeholders are actively engaged and share responsibility for developing
life-long learners.

Current Realities in the District as of June


2014

Level
Manjuyod District 2 was created last
February 8, 2013. The district office is located at
Sagrada Elementary School. It is approximately 51
kms. away from Dumaguete City and 6 kms. away
from the Municipality of Manjuyod. It has now 10
elementary Schools and 5 secondary schools. It has
only one (1) Multi-grade school and one (1) with
multi-grade classes. Nine (9) of the schools are in
mountainous barangays while six (6) schools are in
the lowland areas. As of March 2014 NAT Grade 6 ,
Manjuyod district 2 ranked 3rd in the division ranking.
Six (6)
schools
namely; Managba Elementary
School, Panciao High School, Bagtic Elementary
School, Locay Elementary School, Mandalupang
Elementary School, and Tanglad Elementary School
are difficult to be reached specially during rainy days.
Four (4) schools are within the target areas of the
Child Fund, ABK# LEAP Phase 3
Project
in
partnership with the Local government Unit of the
Municipality of Manjuyod. They are beneficiaries of
Infrastructure, livelihood skills training and school
supplies.
As of June 2014, Bagtic Elementary School is the only
school recipient of DepEd Computerization Program.
Other recipient schools are still waiting for the delivery
of the computers.
