Anxiety Disorder and the Effects
Everyone has anxiety it is a common emotion humans have. When anxiety becomes
excessive it starts to be a problem. Anxiety disorder can affect a person to interact with others.
Anxiety is the sense of being worried all of the time and nervous. The person with an anxiety
disorder is always living in fear that things will go wrong. Dealing with this disorder on a regular
basis anxiety can be the worst feeling on earth. What are the reasons anxiety begins? Depression
is usually the mental disorder that is most common, but anxiety is not fully understood. What
causes anxiety is there one main act or experience that can be common to all cases? What are
the causes of this disorder? According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America
(adaa.org) Approximately 18% of U.S population is affected by this illness, which rounds up to
40 million adults.
Sometimes anxiety is genetically passed on, MayoClinic.org claims; possible causes are
inherited traits that run in the family, an over active structure in the brain called amygdale.
Amygdale and hippocampus are parts of the limbic system that controls basic emotions such as
anger, happiness, fear, and motivation. The Amygdale also called amygdaloidal nucleus is an
almond shaped structure in the brain that processes the expression of the emotion of anger and
fear. Born with an enhanced amygdale can increase fear and trigger anxious behavior. The
hippocampus is a seahorse shaped structure in the brain that processes memory. It is believed
children abused, military combats who served, or anyone who suffered from traumatic
experiences have a smaller hippocampus shape and could mostly lead to frequent flashbacks to
bad memories. It is common for a child from age thirteen start to show signs of mental illness.

The causes of anxiety are different. Some individuals can get it from stress: due to
traumatic experiences in ones life, at work, school, in relationships. Some cases of bullying,
dysfunctional relationships, sexual abuse can result in social phobias. It can affect the person in
building healthy relationships. It increases negative self talk and leads to stress. Stress is the
common gate way to anxiety it triggers the repetition of constant worry. Someone who has stress
can easily be urged into anxiety. The more stress piled up the higher the risk of being affected by
depression as well. This disorder can quickly distort mental health.
Children in school environments that have been through traumatic events in their lives
and dealt with a lot of stress, play a big factor in the Anxiety and Depression community because
that is where it begins for many. Children in school who have been bullied could have an anxiety
disorder and untreated will have an impact on adult life. Having stress can easily trigger anxious
behavior. I have spoken to my doctor a few months ago. I had concerns about the way I was
feeling. I felt unable to focus clear; my energy was drained through half the day, and even
thoughts that seemed crazy would come to me. And he ensured I had depression and anxiety.
Anxiety is primarily caused by stress and can lead to worry and negative thought. Also,
people who have anxiety will believe that things will always go wrong no matter the situation.
The research that is shown on the National Institute of Mental Health page explains recent
studies of anxiety. Scientists have been looking at what is the cause of anxiety disorder and
claim, like heart disease and types 1 diabetes, mental illness are complex and probably result
from a combination of genetic, environmental, psychological, and developmental factors.
