‘Tromba(D) Aria "De Torrente in via biblet" (from Dixit Dominus, 1703) ‘The younger brother of Alessandro was a violinist of te Royal Chapel (Naples) fom 1684 to 1607. in 1600, he martied Rosalinda ‘Albano (d. 1706) and had five children. In 1715, as he had known the Emperor for 20 years and was supported by Johann Josech Fux (1860-1741) in the effort, he applied forthe position of Vice-Kapelimeister at the Imperial Court of Vienna but Antonio Caldats (C.1670-1736) eventually won the position. He also counted George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) amongst his good friends. There his second wife Jane Scariat | labandoned him and was incurring debts. A benefit concert was given in 1741 (shortly before his death) in Dubiin on his behalf to repay those debts.
