Date7/7/12 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Dear Sir/Madam LETTER OF REFERENCE, Mr. Shlok Agarwal, who is a second year Mechantronics Engineering student at the Manipal Institute of Technology, India, has completed a two-month internship with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), During the period of internship with ECG, he worked with engineers/technicians at the Urban Projects and Subtransmission Divisions. He understudied engineers who are in charge of 33kV and L1kV Overhead Lines, Underground Cables and also worked at the company’s ‘Network Control Centre (SCADA Section) located at the Central Business District of Accra. His activities included supervision of electricity distribution installation works, and visits to 33/11kV electrical power substations in Accra to familiarise himself with the functions of major substation equipments. At the SCADA section he had the opportunity to see some of the major equipment used for the operations and control of the Accra electricity distribution network. He also had hands on experience on the software used at the SCADA section. He was very respectful, and conducted himself well an as ever ready to take on assignments. He got on well with all the engineers and management staff that he came into contact with during his period of stay with us. Looking at his high sense of responsibility, his eagemess to lear, his interest in new assignments, and ability to adapt to different social and cultural environments we have no doubt that he can take on internship programmes in most parts of the world. We, therefore, recommend him for internship or any other programmes being it in India or elsewhere in the world.
