international Bureau labor statistics showed that Network Engineer earn between

Education and certification requirements

The network engineer at least has a bachelors degree in a computer field such as:
computer science, programming, Networking or related field. Many employers prefer
candidates to have MBA in information systems and work experience in the same field is
highly preferable. Moreover, it is highly recommended that the network engineer have
certificates in networking such as: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, and CNE.

Future of Network Engineer

The future of network engineers seems to be bright. The networking sector is
developing significantly due to large number of networks around the globe and the
increase demand of secure networks. Therefore, this industry will require more
employees (network engineers) especially with high capabilities and skills to make
enhancements and improvements to the current technology.

Analysis
According to the information collected from both the interview and the research there are huge
similarities between them.
Both sources (interview - research) have the same information regarding the nature of work, skill
required and responsibilities where the employee has to create and design network infrastructure. Also,
maintaining the network and evaluate the performance.
However, there are some differences between them. First, the interviewee mentioned that they require
an experience for minimum of 5 years as IT networking engineer but it wasnt mentioned in the sites I
searched. Second, there are differences between range of salaries in Bahrain and other countries. As the
interviewee said that the new employee earn 800 BHD and the highly experience get up to 2000 BHD.
Bahrain labor statistics showed that starting salary as network engineer is 400 BHD which is less than
what the interviewee said. It is less because they doesnt require a 5 years as experience in IT field.
Moreover, working abroad may be good idea because the salary range is between 2600 and 3700 but to
put in mind they are paying taxes. Finally, the research asks for some additional certifications such as
CNE and CCIE rather what does the interviewee mentioned.

Conclusion
Regarding my academic qualification and experience Im not suitable to work as network engineer yet
even though Im a network technician. In order to fill the gaps I have to complete my BSc in the
university then obtain certificates like: MSC and MBA by participate in Tamkeen programs. Plus I need to
get CCIE certificate, therefore I am going to UAE to take some courses from Cisco Company. After 4
years from now I will be able to apply for this job because by that time I will be completed my BSc and
have the certificates needed. Hopefully, after getting the needed certificates along with my experience I
will be promoted to be a Network Engineer.
