Page 2, Q2. Please use the space below to make additional comments on the organization o the teacher and the course.
Mr. Erlandson is always prepared for activities in class. However, sometimes he does not plan class time very effectively,
as we are often left with not enough time to finish important class discussions.
this class is very complex and difficult to keep up with, the teacher needs to focus more on making sure the students
cover the basis before focusing on additional complicated aspects of the subjects.
The teacher is very organized and is always ready for class and uses his time effectively.
He teaches usually one thing in the class and then on the tests it is completely different. Also his review periods are
useless and it never helps me prepare for the tests. This is the hardest and most difficult class to succeed in NA because
he gives no room for improvement.
In terms of organization, he is well organized and systematic however, in some areas such as homework there could be
changes. The fact that homework is to be completed on material that hasn't been taught yet is difficult.
N/A
This course is organized well but the class could be better organized if assignments were handed back sooner
I think that he does a pretty good job presenting the information althrough the course is really hard
10
I wish that we learned what the homework was going to be on before we did the reading and the homework so that it
made more sense.

I credit Mr. Erlandson for always being willing to work with me outside of class, whenever I need help.

Page 3, Q2. Please use the space below to make additional comments on the teacher/student relationship.
I think Mr. Erlandson is genuinely concerned about the well-being and progress of each student. Even if a problem has
been explained many times, Mr. Erlandson will continue to explain until all students feel comfortable with the information.
He often offers extra help for students if they feel they need it, and (from personal experience) always keeps his promise
if he made a commitment. Although Mr. Erlandson is very helpful when he reviews homework, sometimes he doesn't go
as in-depth when explaining tests, still leaving some people confused. I think he should spend as much time on test
questions as he does on homework questions.
The teacher provides a safe and efficient environment for all students regardless of background
He plays favorites like who ever he likes does well and who ever he does not like does horrible. He is very nice teacher
but he does not seem concerned about my progress or anybody else's progress.
the teacher is very talented and intelligent but can move too quickly in class sometimes
Mr. Erlandson is supportive of his students and has a good character in class. He treats his students fairly
In terms of relationship as a person Mr. Erlandson is very nice and funny, as well as being genuinely interested in my
growth as a chemistry student.
Mr. Erlandson is friendly to everyone and cares about your progress as long as you do.
Mr. Erlandson is definitely concerned for the well-being of his students, as he is willing to answer all questions, and help
students in any way he can
10
he had a good reationship with most kids and is able to poke fun at both himself and other students in a funny, harmless
way

Mr. Erlandson has a very good knowledge of chemistry and can explain it well. If a student does not understand a
concept, Mr. Erlandson might try to explain it in a variety of ways, offering more than one viewpoint (which can be very
effective). He gives a lot of partial credit on tests and sometimes that is extremely helpful so it can help us understand
what we did wrong without completely penalizing us.
The teacher is very knowledgeable on the topic and often uses this knowledge to effectively explain concepts in a way
that the student can understand them.
His tests do not reflect what is learned in class neither do the labs I usually do not understand what the labs have to do
with the current studies. Also he always tells us that we can't learn anything from the book given so if he doesn't teach us
well in class...how are we supposed to learn anything
Mr. Erlandson knows a lot about chemistry and effectively teaches us the material. He could however be more clear in his
feedback on our assignments so we know better for the future what to correct.
Mr. Erlandson is a very knowledgeable person and is extremely well learned in the area of Chemistry, however I feel like
this is partially the issue. I feel as though he knows so much about the subject that he feels as if al lof the student should
know the same amount regardless if we're taught or not.
Though Mr. Erlandson is clearly very knowledgeable in the subject of Chemistry, he sometimes has trouble explaining
concepts clearly, making lessons confusing sometimes. He is much more clear and explains things better when I meet
with him alone, or in a small group.
He is obviously good at chemistry and is able to teach in different ways, but he is very harsh when it comes to making
and grading tests. I feel that for the average for a test should be at least a B, but its usually about a B-.

Mr.Erlanson knows what he is teaching and this is shown in his enthusiasm and knowledge of the material.

I hope to achieve a B by the end of the year but it seems very unlikely therefore i expect a C for the end of the term
Though I didn't exactly get the grades I had hoped for, I found Mr. Erlandson to be a very helpful and reliable teacher. He
is available for extra help more than any of my other teachers, and those extra help sessions is where I learn and benefit
the most. My suggestion for Mr. Erlandson for the spring term would be to make his expectations for tests more clear, as
it is sometimes difficult to know what to study.
We should go over the material before we do the homework and just use homework for reinforcement.
