Flammability Tester
Application:

The CSI-19SPI Flammability Tester is used to

determine the burning characteristics of textile
products, materials, and assemblies, in
response to heat and flame under controlled
laboratory conditions.

The flame chamber and removable specimen

holder are made of stainless steel material for
durability. The top cover is removable for fast
venting of after burn gases and smoke
.
The burn rate and ignition timers located in the
front operator panel, are automatically
actuated by internal switches that actuate at
preset positions of the flame on the test sample.
Sample burn is initiated by a automatically actuated needle type burner.
The operator may access the interior of the test
chamber through the side access door, or the
front hinged door. Test progress may be
observed through the front tempered glass window.

All controls for the operation of the apparatus are

conveniently located in the lower front area of
the flammability tester.
