RATIONALE:
The future well being of human society and its environment depends upon the quality of peoples
interactions with each other and with their social, cultural and physical environments as they strive
to meet their needs.

AIM:
To develop in students the values and attitudes, skills, and knowledge and understandings that:

Values and Attitudes


By identifying, clarifying, analysing and evaluating
their values and attitudes as well as those of others
about issues and events, students should develop
informed and responsible attitudes towards people,
cultures, religions, societies, environments and
learning. This will enable them to contribute to
intercultural understanding and the development of a
democratic and socially just society in a sustainable
environment.

Skills
By developing skills in:

Knowledge And Understanding

The students will engage in learning activities which will


enable them to develop their knowledge and understanding about:

Change and continuity

Cultures

Environments

Social systems and structures

Acquiring information
