FUTSAL SERIES
CONCACAF confirmed last month the
fixtures for 2004
Preliminary Futsal
Series between the
North Zone and UNCAF (Unin
Centroamericana de Ftbol).
The CONCACAF Futsal Qualification
Preliminaries has three UNCAF nations
(El Salvador, Honduras, Panama) meeting three North Zone teams (Canada,
Mexico, USA) in three pairings consisting of two-games with the matches to
take place in a single venue.
Series 1 has Panama hosting
Canada at the Gimnasio Roberto Duran
in Ciudad de Panam on 21 and 22
May 2004, while El Salvador visits
Mexico in Series 2 at the Gimnasio
Carlos Martnez Balmori in Pachuca,
Hidalgo on 20 and 22 May.
The Series 3 match-up has the USA
greeting Honduras at the US Cellular
Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 18
and 20 May.
The three North/Central
Preliminary Series winners will
advance to the 2004 CONCACAF Futsal
Final Round Qualification in July,
along with Cuba, three more qualifiers
from the Caribbean Football Union
Tournament and the host, Costa Rica.
The eight-team CONCACAF Final
Round will qualify two nations to the
2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship
to be held in Chinese Taipei from 21
November - 5 December.

QUALIFYING SET
Twenty-four CONCACAF
teams remain as FIFA
World Cup Qualifying continues in June 2004 with
Second Round home-andaway series.
The twelve victorious teams from
the second round will enter the semifinal round made up of three groups of
four that will run from 18 August - 17
November 2004.
