Evidence Collection
Givens:
Must be standards based
Most recent evidence translates to the report card
Extra credit, homework, life skills (effort, behavior, participation) should not be
included in a final grade
Homework should be risk free practice (formative) unless it is a culmination project
or long term assignment at which time a grade would be assigned
Review Gradebook Samples
What is good evidence at my grade level?
How am I communicating this evidence to the student and parent?
How might I delineate between formative and summative evidence?
How can evidence be used for goal setting?

Parent Forum - Feedback

Quarterly grades reflect the work completed during the quarter
being reported - not end of year standards as previously reported.
Teacher comments are expected for all areas not receiving
proficiency - this includes below and above proficiency. (Both in
academic and life skills portions)
Teachers should be using the academic proficiency rubric regularly
with students, it is not simply for report card purposes.
Teachers should be able to address the question: "How can my
child receive an exceeds." - a student would be working on above
grade level standards.
