Multimedia and Front Desk Mentor (10/2014 Current)
George Mason University STAR Lab
Provide peer mentoring and technical assistance to all students, staff, and faculty in the production and
development of academic or co-curricular projects involving the Adobe Creative Suite and web development.
Act as technical liaison to course instructors who request specialized guidance and or training for their students.
Designed and developed a new website for the GMU JSA using HTML, CSS, and jQuery at
http://www.gmu.edu/org/jsa/.
Maintain both the JSA official website, Facebook page, and GetConnected page.
Create flyers and graphic designs for the purpose of the organization.
Taught basic engineering and design principles using Lego Mindstorms Education Kits to local African American
youths to encourage more underrepresented demographics to pursue STEM hobbies and careers.
Specifically focused on encouraging critical thinking through exploration and experimentation via the trial and
error process.
Led computing camp for middle school girls in order to encourage more young women to develop interests in
computing and information technology.
Taught computing principles through the game design and development process using Microsoft educational
software Kodu Game Lab on PCs and the Microsoft Surface.
Taught middle school students android application development using MITs AppInventor software.
Joined as media consultant in 2010 to touch up team photography using Photoshop and designed interactive
visual presentations for outreach and community service initiatives using Adobe Flash.
Promoted to one of three Chairmans Presenters who represent the team as spokesmen and public speakers in
charge of team outreach initiatives and maintaining a strong public image in the community.
Elected as programming and website captain in final year. Completely redesigned and developed brand new
team website at www.bluecheese1086.org using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery with full web
validation. Self-taught C++ and robotics programming to program the 2013 competition robot.
