Lesson Title: Island Hopping
Numbers of students in class: 17-22
Grade Level: K-5
Location: Gym
Goal of the lesson: For students to be able recognize and perform different exercises and the effects they
have on our body.
Instructional Objectives:
Psychomotor:
Students will be able to perform a variety of exercises that promote health related fitness, including cardio,
flexibility, and muscular strength through a structured fitness activity.
Students will increase their heart rate and improve strength and flexibility.
Cognitive:
Students will be able to recognize the importance of fitness and the effects it has on their body.
Students will be able to identify components of fitness.
Affective:
Students will use respect when instructors and classmates are speaking and/or demonstrating.
Students will participate to the best of their ability and be encouraging of others.

A: Plank/push-ups, crab kicks
