Solar Energy in Turkey

By: Can Demirkol

Introduction:
This presentation is about solar
energy in Turkey. Our WALT is:
Research for specific info of how
energy source impacts a country.
So I chose solar energy in Turkey!

How Solar Energy is

Extracted and Harnessed
Solar energy is extracted by using solar panels. When
sunlight hits solar panels its 20% is converted into
electricity by solar cells. This happens when electrons
from the sun pushes out the electrons on the solar
panels and then another electron comes to its spot and
so on. After being extracted and converted into
electricity, its harnessed like normal electricity. In your
home, workplaces and like anywhere! Turkey uses 129
kWth of solar energy everyday.

How does it Impacts the

Society?
Positive Impacts

Negative Impacts

Makes Turkey more eco-friendly!

People need to pay extra money to install panels.

People need to pay no money once they install

Your roof doesnt look nice with solar panels all

over it.

Slows down the global warming

Requires more work.

Note: Same impacts in most of the countries.

Note: Same impacts in most of the countries.

Connections I Made:
People invest in Turkeys renewable energy source because Turkeys
energy demands are increasing in a fast pace.
Turkey wants to get solar licence so they can get advantage from Turkeys
7.5 hours of sunlight.
Investing in Turkeys solar energy sources is a good idea and as a result
people can get advantage from Turkeys 7.5 hours of sunlight and Turkey
is the 2nd most sunniest place in Europe after Spain.

Interesting Facts About Solar

Energy

10.Solar energy is measured in kw.

Conclusion:
This is the end of the presentation. Here are
some specific things to remember: People
invest in Turkeys solar energy so as a result,
people who invest in Turkeys solar energy
makes a lot of profit because Turkey is the 2nd
sunniest country in Europe. Also Turkey uses
