Student Teaching Goals
1. Increase knowledge and implement the use of technology in the classroom.
Interwrite board (Mr. Smartypants)
Integration of videos/songs into lessons
Use of iPad/Surface education apps
2. Effectively and confidently plan/teach/and manage an entire school day
Work with cooperating teacher to plan the school days
Increase amount of time teaching the class, to eventually work up to
teaching the entire day
Be attentive to cooperating teacher's use of classroom management
techniques, and use the techniques while teaching
3. Make connections and build relationships with other teachers, administrators,
secretaries, and parents of students.
Introduce myself to all other staff members and student's parents
Send out an introductory letter to student's families, introducing
myself. Include e-mail address for parents to contact me.
Maintain open communication with staff members and parents
4. Gain an understanding of what goes into the planning of lessons in
kindergarten, and how the content standards are integrated.
