The Community Institute, a program of Friends of Midcoast Maine, is offering TWO programs on
February 27 and 28 in Damariscotta, Maine.
Friday, February 27 at 8:30 - 4:30 p.m. and
Saturday, February 28 at 8:30 - 12:30 p.m. at

the Damariscotta Baptist Church


A 1 1/2 day workshop hosted by the Community Institute
teaching skills to build stronger multi-generational communities, recognize and prepare for the benefits of aging in
place, perform community & home assessments, learn 9
highly effective tools for community leaders & community
members, and where to find resources to build stronger,
healthier communities.

$125 for session includes all materials and


breakfast and lunch on Friday

A FREE community presentation by Nick Buettner of the
Blue Zones Project, a study in cooperation with National
Geographic Society on communities with the highest
longevity & what it takes to Live Better, Longer. Listen to
his dynamic, storytelling delivery as he takes you to these
longest-lived cultures, shares his own observations from
the field, and provides you with ideas to immediately
increase your own and your community's well-being.

FREE and open to all.


This program is held in collaboration with Friends of Midcoast Maine,
AARP, Coastal Enterprises Inc., Maine Association of Planners,
GrowSmart Maine, Maine Downtown Center, Healthy Lincoln County,
Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, Spectrum Generations
and the Town of Damariscotta.
