Overall Comments:
Although she was only her for 2 weeks, Casey has left a positive impression on my class. My students still talk about her today and the girls in my class role play her when playing school. She is a positive,
energetic and creative teacher that engages students at all levels of learning and helps them to feel comfortable and confident even when approaching concepts that they are unsure of. It has been a
pleasure to have Casey in my class this year, not only has she learned from us, but I also learned from her. She brought in her Math toolbox which was overflowing with WONDERFUL homemade
manipulatives to help students with their Math concepts. I wish her all the best in her studies and am confident in her teaching abilities.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth):

This term, Casey taught a Math lesson and a gym lesson. During the Math lesson, she created a
worksheet for students to practice collecting data using tallies and then graphing the data, they had
collected. Her lesson was engaging and she ensured that all students understood what the
expectations were before beginning their independent task. Casey treated each student with respect
and made sure that each one felt confident and capable when approaching their task. My students
have really enjoyed having Casey in our class, many of them begged her to come and visit, and are
still talking about her.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth):

Casey and I worked well together when planning her lessons. She also worked professionally with the
planning teacher when asked to do a music lesson. She showed initiative when circulating the
classroom and assisting students without being asked.

Casey was able to discuss what worked well in her lessons and what she would have changed when
reflecting back on the lesson. She also checked in after the lesson to get feedback on any strategies
she could have used.

Comments (Please elaborate on strengths/areas for growth):

During her Math lesson on collecting data, making tallies and graphing the data, Casey identified the
expectations and then checked with some of the weaker Math learners to verify that they understood
the lesson and the expectations. She also created her own worksheet to assess what she had taught
in the lesson and then marked it for her and my records.

Casey was able to teach the lesson in the time allotted without making the students feel rushed. The
students were fully engaged and eager to please. She gave a lot of positive reinforcement when
students were answering her questions, especially students who have less confidence in Math.

Casey followed the routines of the classroom and so her lesson was a seamless transition from my
previous lesson. Students interacted and respected her teaching methods as if I was the one teaching.
She has a very energetic and bubbly way that engages them and promotes a positive learning
environment.
