Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit
Background
The Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) is an independent research institute based in
Kabul. AREU was established in 2002 by the assistance community working in Afghanistan and has a
board of directors with representation from donors, the United Nations and other multilateral
agencies, and non-governmental organisations. Additional information about AREU is available on

The Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) invite experienced and qualified Bidders to
submit proposals to provide internet service at the bandwidth level of 3 Mbps up to 5 Mbps with 3-5
dedicated routable IP addresses (Live IP) for AREU main office and its guest house.
The proposal includes Wireless Connection and another connection which will work better with no
down time and disconnection.
Proposal should include all necessary hardware, each item will need to be quoted on as a separate
line including:

Internet access cost

Installation cost
Hardware cost
Other items needed to complete project

The contract period for this RFP is probationary 3 month with one week demo to check and test the
quality and accessibility. The contract will be extended further base on the performance within the
agreement of both parties.

Reference sites using your service 3 years or more

The proposal must be in English, and in the soft version should be submitted by email no later than
