Instructors Comments/Feedback:
Reflections Overview
The reflections tool is an opportunity for you to think about your choices as
you create your portfolio. It will journey with you on your individual work
path, in team collaborations, and for your final project delivery. Reflections
can be independent or related to a grade, a task, or an activity. Reflections
should discuss your skills assessment results and clearly articulate why work
samples were chosen and the positive attributes/skills they demonstrate. This
should not be a journal piece, but a thoughtful and concise reflection.
The following questions may help you frame your reflection:
1. Based on the skills assessment you completed online, do you feel
that you have the skill set needed to excel at your chosen career?
Explain why or why not.
2. Are there any skill areas that you should improve on? Also, what
skill types do you think will constantly be evolving?
3. What skills do you have the most trouble with? What comes the
most naturally?
4. Why have you chosen the work samples that you have? Why do
they express your best work.
Interview Questions
1. Please tell me about yourself?
2. Why should we hire you?
3. Will you please tell me about any work experience or training you have that
relates to this job?
4. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
5. Do you work well under pressure? Give an example?
6. What have you learned from your mistakes?
7. What motivates you?
8. Do you consider yourself a leader or a follower? Why?
9. What types of things irritate you about your coworkers?
10. What are your strongest skills?
11. What do you know about this job? (Refer to job ad in previous assignment)
12. If another employee asked you to sign her out because she was leaving 45
minutes early, how would you handle this?
13. What do you expect in the way of a beginning salary?
14. Do you plan to continue your education?
15. Are you okay working for a younger supervisor?
