Approximate savings of retrofitting behind walk rather than in sidewalk

The backyard retrofits and savings on install behind the walk should be noted
as estimated costs that will be adjusted in the future based on actual
construction costs.
Easements

DOU researched subdivision maps that included approximately 15,000

properties in the areas that remain to be metered. Approximately 25% of
the properties do not have easement behind the sidewalk. Theres another

10% of properties where the water service enters the property under the
driveway and it would be less expense to retrofit in the sidewalk rather than
the driveway.
Safety
Additional coordination with PGE includes a PGE representative attending
each of our Pre-construction meetings with our contractors and PGE has
provided onsite safety training
No gas line hits in the Little Pocket construction area to date. Construction
inspector for the Little Pocket Project is Jason Claremont, Construction
Coordinator is Chris Powell.
In the Land Park construction project, there have been two PGE gas service
hits on private property.
Technology
The Automated Meter Infrastructure installed on the meters will allow for
the water meters to be read remotely.
