Front Seal Wrong Size

Some RWD Chrysler units have pumps that a normal stock front
pump seal will not fit. The seal bore is much too large for the
replacement seal. These pumps were built with an oversize seal bore
and had a steel sleeve installed to act as an adapter bushing to allow a
normal size seal to be installed. There is no larger size seal available
that fits this larger bore.
As of this printing, replacement adapter sleeves are not available.
Currently, the choices are to either replace the pump body with one that
has a normal size bore, or dont damage the sleeve during seal
removal and reuse it. Many technicians have spent/wasted valuable
time trying to locate a replacement seal for these oddball pumps.
