RESOLUTION TO COMMENTS ON DESIGN CALCULATION :

Resolution to Comment No. 1 : Noted. The structural concrete and PCC concrete
mentioned in cl. 1.3 shall be revised to C25 & C15 as per comments, in the revised issue
of Design Calculation document.
Resolution to Comment No. 2 : Noted. The reinforcement provided for column C2
shall be revised to (4-T25 + 8-T20) as per comments, in the revised issue of Design
Calculation document.
Resolution to Comment No. 3 : Pl. note that the factor of 1.25 considered in finding
the Gross Soil Pressure has been used for cases where Short Term/Transient Loading
(Wind/Seismic) occurs.

For the Load combinations that include such Short

Term/Transient Loading, 25% increase in Soil Bearing Pressure is allowed as per Code.
RESOLUTION TO COMMENTS ON CIVIL GA DRAWINGS :
Resolution to Comment No. 1 : The Levels/Elevations mentioned in the Civil GA
Drawings are as per the latest Inputs/Information based on the Topography/Survey
Levels. The Mechanical GA would be revised in line with the same.
Resolution to Comment No. 2 : The depth of foundation provided is as per the latest
Topography/Survey Levels.

Also the depth of foundation adopted is as per the

requirement of the Soil Report (min. 1 m below natural ground level). Accordingly, the
same is in order.
Resolution to Comment No. 3 : As per good engineering practice, the top of ground
beams (especially the peripheral) is generally kept below the ground level (FGL) to
prevent moving-out of the soil contained inside the building (upto FFL) from below the
ground beam. Also due to the alternator and engine Foundation, the level of ground
beams has been kept lower, as shown in the Civil GA drawings. Pl. note the same.
Resolution to Comment No. 4 : Noted. Nominal reinforcement of T8 @ 200 shall be
provided for the 425 mm thk. PCC underneath the foundation for alternator and engine.
The same shall be incorporated in the revised issue of Civil GA Drawings. Pl. note the
same.
