Suresh Reddy/... NAINC0014199557 Suresh Reddy/... plz tell me whether this belongs to our Q or not ? Steve Stettler/V... ok, will look Suresh Reddy/... steve any update plz ? Steve Stettler/V... not yet. It is an interesting question. I do NOT think it is us, but I am trying to confirm still Suresh Reddy/... okies Suresh Reddy/... plz let me know once u confirmed abt this Steve Stettler/V... k Steve Stettler/V... OK, here we go. Not our issue. Research for clarificat ion online plus consultation with network peer yields following info. TTL does not matter unless it is horribly low or 0. The URL below points out that the de stination device determines the TTL, and it varies by platform. So Cisco starts at 255, Windows at 128, and Unix at 64. A traceroute from the data center to t hat printer shows about 8 hops, so if you add 57+8 it is close enough to say tha t the printer probably is using the Unix default. A teammate suggested to start by rebooting the printer and see if that helps. I cannot get to it with web browser like I can with other printers so there might be a problem. If above does not resolve then teammate suggested deleting and r e-adding it to print server again. I will check the network port and make sure no horrible errors. Will report back on that shortly Steve Stettler/V... I do not see any errors on the printer port or the ports between connecting switches, just FYI Suresh Reddy/... thanks steve Suresh Reddy/... so the INC need to be transfered to server team again ri ght ? Steve Stettler/V... I think back to Deskside to have them reboot the printer (again) and if still a problem then put in the ticket to ask them to transfer t o Server team to please delete/add printer to print server again. Thanks Suresh Reddy/... ok steve will work with desktop team Suresh Reddy/... i really appreciate ur help Suresh Reddy/... thanks a lot Steve Stettler/V... yw
