Introduction

The main intention of this project is to find the

accident spot at any place and intimating it to
ambulance through the GPS and GSM
network.
The GPS based vehicle accident identification
module contains vibration sensor, GPS and
GSM modules connected to the
microcontroller.
Global System for Mobile (GSM) technology is
used to establish cellular network.
Global Positioning System (GPS) is used to
trace the position of the vehicle.

Applications

It is used in Ambulance, Fire engines, VIP Vehicles,

Defense, Security etc.
Used in automotives and transport vehicles- from
lighter vehicles like cars, to heavier automotives like
ships and airplanes.
Security and remote monitoring of vehicles especially
during military operations.
This system is also can be interfaced with Vehicle
airbag system such that when the sensors detect the
accident, the air bags get opened.
VIP vehicle tracking.
Can also be used for Child or animal tracking
Ambulance tracking.

Advantages

Disadvantages

Anti GPS tracker disrupter can knock out GPS

logging.
Line of Sight with Satellite for GPS tracking.

Future Enhancements
This system can be interfaced with
vehicle airbag system that prevents
vehicle occupants from striking interior
objects such as the steering wheel or
window.
This can be developed by interconnecting a
camera to the controller module that takes
the photograph of the accident spot that
makes the tracking easier.

Conclusion

To minimize the deaths and the severe

conditions due to accidents the GPS and GSM
technologies are used where the immediate
action would be take place by the
ambulance/police service which might
reduced the severity.
