Install USB driver software for programming cable.

Open radio programming software, version 1.04 or later.
Plug programming cable into USB port.
Plug cable into radio & then turn the radio on.
Read radio memory. If unsuccessful, check if correct com port is being used.
Always read radio memory first before writing to memory.
6.) Type in frequencies, etc., then save your file.
7.) Write file to radio.
8.) Unplug radio & enjoy.
To use unlocking software, do steps 1,2,3,4, & 5 above.
Open unlocking software - DO NOT close the programming software.
Set frequency ranges. Pick all or part of 2 of the 3 choices:
1.) 134 - 174 MHz
2.) 216 - 280 Mhz
3.) 350 - 550 MHz
Attach the correct antenna based upon the frequencies you have chosen.
You may need to buy additional antennas to cover your chosen frequencies.
Buy a female sma to female BNC adapter to allow you to use a wider selection of
antennas.
