Newark Academy Diversity Team: One Page Strategic Plan

Newark Academy Mission Statement: Newark Academy will contribute to the world engaged individuals with a
passion for learning, a standard of excellence, and a generosity of spirit.
Diversity Mission: The mission of the NA Diversity Team is promote diversity, justice and equity in all aspects of NA
life
Objectives:
Purposefully promoting diversity and cultural competency throughout the community by: 1) continued reliance on
proven activities; 2) implementation of initiatives that involve various stakeholders in the community 3)
Strengthen Newark Academys role as a leader in diversity and inclusion work
Strategies: All of the strategies are created in accordance to the four imperatives in the 2013-2018
strategic plan
