REFLECTION / COMMENTS:
RTI
The RTI process has required searching for answers and defining the overall system.
A lot of work outside of the monthly meetings has occurred in order to get
administrations perspectives on some of the questions that have been asked. A
couple of the teachers contacted the principal and complained about having to be
involved in the RTI process. They didnt understand that basically they are doing
those things that are required already but a systematic process is being put into
place. It has taken a team approach from myself and administration to be able to
smooth things over and get everybody on board. There can be a lot of resistance

when change is proposed, collaboration with administration prior to and during the
change is essential in making gains.
Summer School
A planning meeting was held in looking ahead to summer school. I will be interning
at the Wellsville High School for the BOCES summer program. It was amazing at
how organized the BOCES system was, they seem to replicate all that is successful
every year and change the areas that are not as successful. Very detailed
agendas were distributed giving the entire scope of summer, all broken down into
very specific responsibilities, procedures and details. This appears to be a key
element in the management and organization of the overall program.
Community Project
The second PTO meeting was held but had less attendance. No major decisions
were made until there is greater attendance. Goals were again discussed with more
brainstorming on what activities people would like to implement. Collaboration with
administration is necessary in order to have questions answered that have been
raised. The PTO has interest in starting an account for fund-raising which will need
researched so that the process is handled properly. I plan to assist with the followup so that the PTO can be appropriately informed.
