ORIGIN

The word Singapore signifies Lion City.


It is a Southeast Asian city-state off the
southern tip of the Malay Peninsula.
In 1324, a prince of srivijian province
called Sang Nila Utama found Singapore.
He landed in this land to avoid a heavy
storm while he was returning back to his
province through sea after a trade.
The first thing he saw was a gigantic fierce
Lionin that green city.
So, he named the city as Singapura.

HISTORY

An island country made


up of 63 islands.
It was discovered by Sir
Stamford Raffles in
the year 1819.
It got its independence in
the year 1965, Aug 9th.
It started its journey as a
small kampong.(village
of fishermen).

He stated his party named as

became the first prime minister
of Singapore in 1965.
