Welcome to 5 Greens Assembly

today!
Please join us in making the
sign of the cross and think
carefully about the words you
are saying.
In the name of the Father
And of the Son
And of the Holy Spirit
Amen

Today, March 17 is Saint Patricks Day. This day has

come to be associated with everything Irish:
anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck.
3.

Lachy

Saint Patrick had an adventurous life. He was

captured by pirates at the age of 16. After being a
slave to the pirates for six years, Patrick decided to
follow Jesus. He escaped and decided to become a
Monk and later a missionary.
4.

Levani

Patrick loved Jesus so much that he decided to move

to Ireland and teach everyone about Jesus. St.

Patrick founded 365 churches, baptized over

120,000 people and consecrated 450 bishops.

5.

Ethan

Even while being a slave to mean pirates, Patrick

knew God was with him. Patrick decided to devote
the rest of his life to God and doing what God
wanted him to do. St Patrick knew that Jesus was
his best friend and wanted others to know Jesus too.
6.

Lily

When we made the sign of the cross we mentioned

three persons God the Father, Jesus the Son and
the Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity.
7.

Lucas

This is a very tricky concept for us to get a grip on.

How can three beings be one God? This is part of
our faith, what we believe in.
8.

Celena/Jake

St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaf clover

(Ireland's national flower), to explain the Trinity God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit. He told people that the three parts form one

leaf just like the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all
one God.
9.

Noah

For those who celebrate its intended meaning, St.

Patricks Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal
and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide. So
today we dedicate our prayer assembly to all who
spread Gods word around the world.
