NSW Candidate has never visited electorate!

Online advocacy group restofnsw inc. has exposed the Greens Party for selecting
candidate Jordanna Glassman who lives in a suburb of Sydney and admits she has
never visited the Murray Electorate in South West NSW in her life. Chair of restofnsw
inc. Cr Bob Wheeldon says the Greens have parachuted Jordanna into Murray in a
cynical attempt to harvest Upper House votes and preferences.
I have personally spoken with Jordanna and she has never even been to the
electorate in her life. Jordanna lives 6 hours from Griffith, 7 hours from Deni and 10
hours from Wentworth so without ever visiting how can she understand or represent
the electorate. The Greens should be ashamed to take advantage of a young political
aspirant in order to gain some Upper House votes and preferences in a seat they have
no intention of actually fighting for. This is surely a new low in political conduct and
explains why voters are so cynical about the major parties.

restofnsw has slammed the NSW Greens for what it sees as yet another example of the
Greens using the communities of restofnsw as their political playthings.
This is an absolute insult for the people of Murray and is yet another example of the
Greens complete disregard for local restofnsw communities which are mere collateral
damage in their ideological campaigns. The Greens have led the cheer squad for the
destruction of irrigation communities, closure of sustainable forestry and turning
sustainable farms (Yanga and Tooralie) into National Parks.

restofnsw says the communities of restofnsw should send a message to the Greens
that their policies must change so that the prosperity of the restofnsw is considered in
addition to environmental issues.

The Greens are trying to put themselves forward this election as a serious option
for voters in the restofnsw but for decades they have treated regional communites as
road kill. The Greens are great at closing businesses and stripping jobs from the
restofnsw and fail to understand that healthy local communities and prosperous land
managers are the environments best friends. We want to see the Greens focus on
the prosperity of restofnsw communities in addition to environmental issues.
