A Note from the Principal

The second semester is upon us and this year is flying by.
Seniors need to begin completing their FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov and
the Academic Challenge Application which can be found at
adhe.edu. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call. As
scholarship award letters are received, please turn in a copy to the
office so we can recognize award recipients at graduation. We are
preparing each day for the EOC, PARCC, and AP exams that will
be held in March, April, and May. Happy New Year!!

Parent involvement:
When schools and families work
together to support learning, children
do better in school, have better
attendance, and are less likely to drop
out. If you havent subscribed to
Remind do so today to keep up with
your childs assignments, test dates,
etc Also, using HAC to view student
grades and attendance helps you
monitor your childs progress weekly. If
you have lost your HAC log-in
information, contact Mrs. Todaro at
shannon.todaro@lavacaschools.com
or 479-674-5612. HAC can be
accessed from mobile devices through
Wi-Fi. This allows you to know your
childs grade as the teacher enters it
into the grade book.

ACT ID Reminder
All students who are taking the ACT must bring a picture ID (drivers license or other form
of government issued ID) and their admission ticket to be admitted into the testing room.

A Note from Nurse Terri:

If your child has an immunization appointment, make sure to get the shot records to
Nurse Terri as soon as possible.
Remember the flu season is upon us. Please keep children at home if they present
with any flu symptoms such as: runny/stuffy nose, cough, headache, extreme fatigue,
body aches, chills, and fever. Make sure to remain at home until fever-free for 24
hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
