Interview Questions: understanding how the organization interacts with
their community.
Question: How would you describe the organizations culture and its ethos? (If needed,
further illustration ethos: the characteristic, credibility, of a culture, era, or community as
demonstrated in its beliefs and aspirations.)
Party of the commodity organization's culture advocates cohesion and trust.
Before obtained acceptance, the applicant must sign to our core values that reflect upon
that we must respect each other and to trust each other. We help the homeless through out
soberly base housing and contracts; we let the municipality also know that we are
credible and also trustworthy. A respectable organization trying to help our fellow human
beings, so it can get roofs over their heads and a more secure future.

Question: Whom do you feel like you reach out to best to? A specific audience? We have
different volunteer that act upon different project therefore we have a vary of audiences
depending on the project. Santa Barbara community is a studies community in a wealthy
community, therefore, have different audiences. The shelter is actively seeking grants and

multiple colors, but purple/violet is the main one used. Would you like- to tell be about

Purple is for power or royalty. Refer you to someone else for Thurs, Feb 19th, just
as red is the ribbon-color for aids, so is purple/blue for homelessness. And we want to
create an awareness and loyalty for the prospect donors and volunteers, but also reflect
on the positives emotions of trust as we have volunteer-outreach when one reach out to
our homeless friends. Thus, also show sympathy for our fellow humans. This reflects on
the quality or power in literature. Indicates on compassionateness. The nonverbal
communication message through colors and images.
Question 4: Can you tell us a little about your mission statement Our mission is to assist
in moving as many people as possible from homelessness to housing?
Casa Esperanza offers the 100-Day Program in three phases to the homeless
whom seek to be sober and are ready to move forward into a productive life. Through our
mission we give back to my community. The purpose is to provide shelter, food and a

myriad of social and medical services to the homeless population of Santa Barbara.

to this non-profit genre? What is it?
Casa Esperanza is the only 24/7 homeless shelters in the region with a population
of 100 members from April 1st to December 1st. our winter shelter population increases
to 200 members from December 1st to April 1st. Also we have the he Medical Respite
Program supplies shelter for homeless patients from the streets and being discharged
from the hospital and clinics. Outlined some of the major changes the shelter has
implemented. The biggest requiring sobriety Its a marked change from two years ago

desire for a certain thing to happen; what is the pathos conveyed under the name?

into a house; is there a thought behind it? And why the color red?
(The color red phycology stands for energy, passion and action, but it is also the color of
anger. How to you effectively write in opposition to that statement?

Question: is there a basic philosophy of reaching clients? Of communicating
successfully? Behind the organization? If so, what it is?
Their philosophy it conveyed in their high ethical standards in conduction
its business. Doing the right thing and acting with integrity are two driving forces behind
Casa Esperanzas great success story. Then faced an ethical issue, volunteers are
expected to make the right professional decision consistent with casa Esperances
principles, standards and the 6 pillars of character-trustworthiness, respect,
responsibility, care, fairness and citizenship.
Question 6: As aforementioned, your mission is to assist in moving as many people as
possible from homelessness to housing. Why use of assist?
It takes time to; it takes plenty of tried before we can consider some homeless to
even get bed in her. The soberly-living concept has made it more efficient because we can
now help the homeless that really want to put an effort in going back to sufficient life, to
home and get a job. It can also take multiple tries before we put someone in a home,
maybe Santa Barbara isnt the place for them to stay, and therefore it can take plenty of

tries. So moving as many as possible is based on the tries, we believe effort and
prosperity goes hand in hand. We assist in their venture to get housing.

and therefore maybe reach out to higher percentage of prospect volunteers?

Differ from donations and volunteer, but also homeless in the community

Question: How have you learnt to adapt and adjust your communication outreach towards
the different demographics?

Communicated throughout meetings, and email, we are only a few staff, the volunteers
get weekly documents.

What is the rhetorical thought behind this? The use of photo is a strategic movie, as we
in all areas weve made substantial improvements to our performance to create

emotional awareness and likability, as credibility. It brings forth a different relationship
that we can share.

there busy or slow times?
If differ, I coordinate volunteer, manage the schedules for the volunteer, follow-up the
