WhatareNoIntrosets?
NoIntroisagroupdedicatedtocollectingROMsofoldervideogamesystemsforthe
sakeofpreservation.Theirmaingoalistocollectcompleteandaccuratecollectionsof
oldvideogames.Thismeansnohacks,baddumps,etc,onlycleanROMfilesaccurate
towhatwascommerciallyreleased.Thename"NoIntro"camefromtheearlydays
whentheyusedtoripoutannoying"scene"introsthatweresometimesinjectedinto
dumpedgames.IfyouwantmoreinformationyoucanvisittheNoIntrowebsite.
DifferencebetweenNoIntroandGoodsets
ThemostcommoncompleteROMsetsyouwillencounterontheinternetareknownas
"GoodSets".Whilethesearen'tbad,theyhaveaslightlydifferentgoalandareusually
severalyearsoutdated.Goodsetsbasicallycollecttogetherasmanyknowndumpsas
possibleintooneset.Thegood,thebad,hacks,multipledumps,allthere.NoIntrosets
onlyincludeonegoodROMforeachregionorrevisionofagame(usuallyoneUS,one
Europe,andoneJapan).Inaddition,NoIntrosetsareupdatedfrequentlyasnewor
moreaccurateROMsarefound.BasicallywhatyougetinaNoIntrosetisequivalentto
whatwasontheoriginalcartridges.

zippedROMfiles.Thissavesspace,butallowsmostemulatorstostillbeabletoopen
