All in all my students did average in regards to their summative

assessment. These students do not really excel in formal testing, and some
turned it in right a way without even really trying. I think that they did fine over all,
and some of those that did miss questions such as #5-#6 did it out of
carelessness since it was the exact problem that we had solved together several
times, just with some words changed.
I think in the future I would look more at how some of my students truly
struggled with basic math such as fraction, and I wouldve taken that into account
as far as their testing and knowledge of this portion of the volume subject. This
unit also had to be postponed and stopped many times due to various

circumstances, which I believe really harmed, them in their testing. By the time
the summative assessment had been give there was a large gap of time from the
first lesson to the test. I think if it had been more consistent they wouldve
retained the information better. I think also a little bit more time spent on irregular
rectangular prisms wouldve been beneficial to my students as well. I think that in
all this was one of these students strongest math skills that they have gained
knowledge of. I think it showed when they found out the assessment they were
about to be given was over volume, and they were happy that it was. I think with
those minor changes the grades and unit wouldve excelled.
