In the fourth workshop, Diana learned more about common mistakes made when learning English, such as issues with homophones, homonyms, and correct use of articles. The class discussed double negatives, which Diana was unfamiliar with, and how double negatives are an error in modern English though sometimes used historically to emphasize negation. As an activity, the class created a poem using double negatives, which Diana found challenging but enjoyable.

Title: EDUC 245 ENGLISH GRAMMAR
In the fourth workshop I met further on common mistakes people make when learning and using a second language. I knew more about homophones and homonyms. Also we spoke about the two types of articles and the correct use of them; and solving this problem of this. We also worked in class with double negatives. This is something I had not heard before; well this is something that is not commonly used. Sometimes the double negative appear is when a speaker use it, but is an error. This error is more used in old novels. Supposedly this is to emphasize the negation of something, but if analyzed in a more mathematical way, a denial cancels the other. With these double negatives we create a poem which was a bit challenging but at the same time was really fun.
