Attack on Charlie
Hebdo
__________________________________________________

(
Charlie Hebdo Employees)
No one believes its fair to kill innocent
people. Recently in France there has been a
shooting in the Charlie Hebdo headquarters.
The root of the problem was when the Charlie
Hebdo magazine made a cartoon of
Muhammad and thats when it all started. The
shooting was on January 7th, 2015 and twelve
people were murdered in the shooting .1 The
terrorists reason to murder the people that

because they drew a cartoon of

Muhammad and they got offended.
Most people think
that there was no
reason to kill people for a drawing of
Muhammad. Theyre (terrorists)
interested by their daily life and by
more real problems. They dont care
if someone depicts Muhammad even
if they wont do it themselves, and
2
they wont kill if someone does it.
Most people forget to see the
other side of things. If you know that
terrorists get easily offended then
dont make improper actions that will
offend them. Obviously, if youve
already seen the terrorists kill so many
people for no reason, why would you
draw a cartoon of Muhammad? The
best way to change someones
behavior is to understand what
motivated that behavior in the first
place .1 In Israel, mocking Muhammad
can bring a prison term, as it did for
Tatiana
Susskind,
a
Russian

(Terrorists that caused the attack)

The majority of people suppose that

Charlie Hebdo didnt make this cartoon to
make people happy. They believe that
they drew this to mock Muhammad.
Individuals also have to consider the fact
that they didnt draw Muhammad so that
the terrorists would come and make a
mess. According to a person that works
for Charlie Hebdo said, I found no
sentence, no single sentence in the Quran
(saying
its)
forbidden to draw
2
Muhammad or to draw anyone.

work for the Charlie Hebdo magazine was

Grocery Store
attacked
_______________________________________

(JewishGroceryStore)

How does it feel to be attacked? Definitely

not a great feeling, right? Recently in France, a
Jewish supermarket was attacked by people that
were linked to the men that started the shooting
1
in the Charlie Hebdo headquarters.
Four people
were shot dead at the supermarket by gunman
Amedy Coulibaly on January 9, 2015, right after
1
the Charlie Hebdo shooting.
Weeks after, the
supermarket opened again for business. The
reopening is a strong signal that life goes on, we
must not give up, said Eric Cohen, father of
Yohan Cohen , who was a victim in the terrorist
2
attack.
It is very sad how innocent people had to
suffer the attack; the worst part is that a few
people think it was okay for terrorists to attack
people in France. First of all, there was no reason

to start killing people in a Jewish

Grocery store. Second of all, if your
group already made an attack 2 days
3
ago, why make an attack again?
We
all know that terrorists arent trying
to make peace, so why are people
trying to so hard to make an excuse
for them? An article about the Charlie
Hebdo shooting said, the best way to
change someones behavior is to
understand what motivated them in
4
the first place.
That excuse still
doesnt apply to why they did the
attack. If the terrorists actually were
offended they would have confronted
the people peacefully.
Terrorists may have an excuse
for the Charlie Hebdo shooting, but
not for the attack in the Kosher
Grocery Store. Their foolish excuse
might be that the people that owned
the supermarket are Jewish. If that
was the excuse then terrorists might
as well kill everyone they see walking
down the street because they might
not agree with what they believe in.
