Dear Senator:
On behalf of the American Conservative Union, I urge you to vote for the Blunt amendment to
the Senate Budget Resolution (#350) that would establish a point of order against any attempt to
impose a tax on carbon.
At a time when the genius of American technology is helping make energy more affordable for
working families, a carbon tax would raise the cost of energy for every American. It would hit
those hardest who can least afford it- people on fixed incomes and the working poor.
The best way to assure that this does not happen is to close the door on this tax increase by
supporting this amendment. Please vote YES on the Blunt amendment #350 to stop the carbon
tax.
