After my experience interning as a teachers assistant at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers
College Early Childhood Programs for my USL 216: Service-Learning for Educators course
taught my Mrs. Deborah Ball, I am interested in your teachers assistant employment position
posted at: ASU Job Opportunities. After already interning at the preschool, as well as working
for the Kyrene School District Kids Club at Kyrene De La Colin elementary school, and working
towards a major in elementary education; I believe not only have the experience needed to fill
this position. But I also am already familiar with the way the preschool runs, its policys, how to
navigate through it, and a majority of its students and staff.

As a previous intern at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College Preschool, and a current
Kids Club employee for the Kyrene School District at Kyrene De La Colin elementary school, I
have experience providing a fun, safe, and stress-free learning environment for students from the
age of two to fourteen. I also have obtained professional experience working with children
between these ages on a one-on-one basis that have provided me with many helpful skills. These
skills includes anything from lesson planning and crafts, to conflict resolution. I have also been
certified in not only CPR, but emergency first aid, and in food handling and food preparations as
well. In addition, I have passed courses at ASU while studying elementary education that has
given my knowledge in IEPs, physical/learning disabilities, IDEA, the importance of diverse
learning environments, and information about childrens literature and its importance. I believe
that my experience in this field will benefit the preschool because in addition to my
qualifications for this position, I also have great people skills that allows me to work well with

my fellow employees; but more importantly to have fun and to have personal relationships with
my students.

I believe with all of my coursework history, professional experience, people skills, and
my love for teaching and working with children will positively benefit your preschool. I look
