Performance Task
Students will show that they really understand by evidence of
Their ability to transfer their discrete learning into correctly completing a final painting
using the style of Romero Britto creating a work that agrees with color theory.
Task 1: Instructor will provide a presentation on color theory and a note taking guide for students
to fill out and later study to take a pop quiz later in the unit.
Task 2: Students will create a color wheel containing all primary, secondary and tertiary colors in
an organized and easy to see manner.
Task 3: Students will use blending of oil pastels techniques to create a piece of art using color
schemes.
Task 4: Students will create a final painting incorporating stylings of Romero Britto and color
theory knowledge gained throughout the unit.
(Students can use different objects or research inspiration if needed)
