DIGSI - Typical CFC applications

Extension of the release condition for a switching command
(e.g. by the position of a further disconnector and the information item "spring charged")

Display of an application-specific group indication in an LED

(single indications logically combined with operators, such as AND, OR, NOT)

Display of a new dynamic symbol for an item of equipment in the

display
(various states calculated by the CFC logic)

Switchover of the parameter group

(on phase currents dropping below a limit value)

Blinking alarm LED if the switching authority is set to "LOCAL"

Implementation of a protection function not offered in the relay
(e.g. "Reverse power protection" or "Efficiency monitoring")

Forced sequence switching after pressing a function key on the

relay
(e.g. automatic grounding)

Step-by-step load shedding on power deficit

(calculation of suitable feeders by the CFC logic)

DIGSI 4 - Generate Copies/Variants

A selected relay can be copied:
Edit > Copy and Edit > Paste
The new relay comes up
Note: The new relay has a new internal address. Original and copy are
different.
For a selected relay a variant can be generated:
Edit > Create variant
The new relay variant comes up.
Note: The variant has the same address like the original relay. Original and
variant are not different!

Version: B 5_Page 26

02_A0: Project Administration

DIGSI 4 Basic

Energy Sector

Siemens AG

Siemens Power Academy

DIGSI 4 - Copy versus variant

A relay must be copied, when there are two or more
relays of the same type and the parameters should be
copied.
In this case the new relay must be initialized first (to
get a new internal address).
For a relay a variant must be created, when there are
multiple parameter settings are required for one relay.
The relay has to be initialized only once, because the
variants have all the same address.

Step 6: Let the system verify the run sequence

Obviously, you dont have to change the run

sequence as the TIMER is the only block
running in the chart.

Changes must, however, be made if several function blocks are

placed and some of them are maybe in the wrong order

controlled via the function keys: F1=Close, F2=Trip.
Use the following blocks to create a command and a doublepoint indication:

Close
Trip

BOOL_TO_CO

The switch command is specified via the parameters

ORIGIN, PROP, VAL and TIME and is tripped via a signal
at the Trig input.
ORIGIN
origin of the cause
PROP

TIME
output time for the command
VAL
switching direction (ON or OFF)

BUILD_DI

This module transforms two input signals into one

double-point indication. The double-point indication
consists of the 2 bits VAL_OFF and VAL_ON.
TYP_DP_I defines the type of the double-point
