Reflection :

1. What of our course objectives do you believe have been met at this stage of your
learning progress?
Through our oral presentation, we believe that various course objectives have been met at
this stage of our learning progress. We have learned how to enhance our professional image
and influencing skills during the presentation, reinforce our body languages and communication
techniques to impact our audiences. Those are the main objectives of our courses.
Firstly, after going through the preparation of our presentation, we learned how to plan,
develop and deliver effective presentations. We did full preparation for our presentation and we
also prepared handouts, slides and visual aids needed to persuade our audience in order to
impress and get attention from them.
Next, we have also developed techniques to align verbal, vocals and visual aids with the
communicated message. Through several practices, we managed to improve our vocals and
pronunciation as well as the use for our visual aids in the presentation. At last, we can perform
more confidently and the progress of our presentation can be conducted smoothly.
Besides, we learned to adapt our presentation styles to suit different audience and
situations. For example, we showed body languageswhich were appropriate to the situation and
topic of our presentation. We showed gestures as signs to express our emotion towards the
points when we were presenting. Thus, we also kept constant eye contacts with the audience in
order to show our respects.

2. Reflect and discuss on how much you have learned or re-learned further on each of
the following areas or set of knowledge and skills:
a) Communication (thinking, writing, speaking and listening) skills
Through the preparation of our oral presentation, we have learned many important
communication skills. These include thinking, writing, speaking and listening skills.
First, in order to prepare for our presentation, we did a lot of thinking and this included
critical thinking as well while we were deciding for our topic to present. All of us undergone a
brainstorming session to come out with ideas of many interesting topics that we would like to

choose from. At last, we decided to choose to present about our waterproof clothing after much
thinking. Through this thinking process, we learned more on how to think to come out with a
better idea or decision.
Next, after we decided our topic for our presentation, we would have to write a draft on
that topic. In this stage, we had re-learned on how to write a draft in a correct way. This helped
us to produce a clearer draft so that we could understand our writing afterwards.
The most important part is the speaking part, which is the oral presentation. In this
stage, we learned how to present well and more formally.We learned how to overcome our
nervous feelings during our presentation by keep practicing before the real presentation.
Besides, we also learned how to present confidently in front of the audience.
We also learned listening skills from the preparation of our presentation. This includes
active listening skills. We had developed this skill through the process of communicating among
each other during each discussion session. It helps us to communicate better among each
member.

b) Collaboration or team work skills

Collaboration and team work skills are very vital in preparing for presentation. In our
group, we did the preparation for our oral presentation together during our meeting time. So, we
have re-learned on how to work together as a team and tolerate among each other. This is to
avoid quarrels and fights. We also learned to collaborate and help each other to complete our
tasks.

c) Ethics
Ethics basically deals with moral or principles of morality. Most people will think that
ethics is the rule for distinguishing between right and wrong. But the most common way of
defining ethics is to distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable. In this oral presentation,
we are able to pursue our presentation with success. This is because we have learned the
ethics in presentation throughout the process. If we do not have those basic of ethics in our
presentation, our presentation will be random and aimless. Besides, when an ethical standard is

taken, we are able to correctly organize our goals and actions to accomplish our most important
values in this oral presentation.

d) Visual-aids (PowerPoint)
Throughout this process, we have learned how to fully utilize the PowerPoint. For
example, we learned to avoid using black and white colors only in our slides, so we chose to
use colorful backgrounds for our slides to attract audiences interest .Moreover, we also used
different types of font to make the slides look more interesting.We used short and simple
English Language sentences or phrases in order to make our audience understand our intended
messages. Lastly,we also used a lot of pictures and graphics so that the audience can know
better our main points throughout our presentation.

e) Appearance
We learned that appearance matters in an oral presentation as the audience will be
looking at us when we give out our presentation. Meanwhile, dress formally and having a good
body language is very important. It is because it will cause the audience to have a good
impression on us. Lastly, we learned that our gestures and mannerisms is very important
because we need to show that we are confident in giving our presentation.

3. Have your learning techniques, time management and learning attitudes been
effective in this course? If yes, why do you say so? If not, why do you think so?
Yes, the learning techniques, time management and learning attitude have been
effective in this course. Our group learned a lot from this course. From this course, we learned
how to manage our time wisely to complete our tasks on time and we learn to plan effectively.
We coordinate with all the group members time and choose the best time for our meeting.We
also learned to have positive learning attitude and use the correct techniques in our learning
process.

Group Reflections conclusion

1. What have you learned in this portfolio? From stage 1 until stage 3.
We have learned how to be persuasive in this portfolio from stage 1 until stage 3. We
created and innovated the raincoat to become a waterproof clothing product. We learned how to
improve the product. Next, we learned that teamwork is very important to complete our tasks.
Our group members discussed together about our waterproof clothes product and distributed
our tasks wisely to finish it. We also put a lot of effort and tooktime to capture videos for our bad
presentation and good presentation. We learned how to present well after going through the
learning process. We learned how to use English Language effectively to communicate with
each other during the discussion. We also learned to improve our skills in writing, speaking and
listening throughout the completion of our portfolio. We shared information and ideas with each
other in order to get the best result for this portfolio. Furthermore, we followed our leaders
instructions when our leader distributed tasksand learned to finish them on time. We also
learned how to use Weebly to create our website and manage it.

2. What was the best part of this presentation? Why?

The best part of this presentation is that we get to learn how to be a good presenter.
Moreover, we helped each other to improve our presentation skills. We also had fun giving ideas
on the topic that we wanted to present for this portfolio. Furthermore, we also had fun recording
videos together. Through the video shooting session, we had built a strong relationship with
each other. Our relationship gets better and we become closer to each other after working
together for this portfolio.

3. Please provide on overall assessment of your presentation. Were you satisfied with
your presentation? Why or why not?
Yes, we are satisfied with our presentation. This is because we learned a lot throughout
the process. We used appropriate gestures and postures throughout our presentation. We also
maintained eye contacts with the audience while presenting. Besides, we included proper and
interesting visual aids to gain audiences attention. We put in a lot of effort and made full
preparation before our presentation. This is so that we can present well and the audience can

understand better our content. We gave clear examples to illustrate our points. We also had
enough confidence to present on our topic because we knew our topic well. We worked together
as a team before and during our presentation. So, we are satisfied with our presentation.
