THE 927 CHARGER VALVE

WHAT WILL THIS TOOL DO?

1. It will eliminate the adverse effects caused by fluid and gas pound.
(on both upstroke and down stroke)
2. It will reduce the range of sucker rod loading where gas and fluid
pound exist
3. It will eliminate gas locking.
4. It will increase production in wells prone to gas locking.
5. It will act as a sand check, eliminating sand in the fluid column from
settling into the pump.

WHERE SHOULD THIS TOOL BE USED

1.
2.

3.
4.

On every producing well that is being pumped from under a packer.

On every Rod Pump that is gas locking with a Two Stager or Hydrostatic
Load Valve, or where other tools are either poor performers or
economically prohibitive.
On every well that the customer has to pound fluid to pump the well.
On every well that is pumped off, where the pump is forced to produce
only what the formation provides.

Conventional Rod Pump with no gas
handling equipment.

Conventional pumps pound fluid on the

down stroke in a GOR application. This is a
result of compressible fluid in the pump
barrel caught above the standing valve.

Rod Pump with Hydrostatic
Load Valves or two stage
pumps.
Rod pumps with load
valves/ring valves, can gas
lock as the hydrostatic
pressure has to be over
come to open the Upper
Slide Valve on the upstroke.
Wells with high GORs
can gas lock Hydrostatic
load valves

Standing Valve and Upper Slide Valve opens at same time.

Slide Valve closes, Travel Ball unseats immediately.
Gas and Fluids pass through Travelling assembly, Upper Slide Valve Remains closed.
At the bottom of the down-stroke, Slide Valve opens, allowing Gas to escape and replacing
the gas with fluid.
Standing Valve opens, Travel Valve closes, Slide Valve opens for production to exit pump.
