Adolf Hitler
Background
Adolf Hitler, left a gruesome and terrifying legacy. His legacy included; killing over
six million Jews, making Germany even more corrupt, and starting WWII.
All great movements are popular movements. They are volcanic eruption of
human passions and emotions stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress,
or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people. -Adolf Hitler. (Adolf
Hitler). First, Hitlers life before he rose to power wasnt the greatest experience. His
dad didnt support his future plans of becoming an artist. He wanted his son to become
a lawyer. That wasnt in Hitlers future plans. And his dad died in 1903 from a stroke. His
mom however loved the fact that he wanted to become an artist. Hitler loved his mom
and cared for her all of the time. In late December, 1907 his mother died from Cancer.
(Hoffmann, Peter. "Hitler, Adolf." World Book Student. World Book, 2014. Web. 10 Nov.
2014.)Hitler before he rose to power he wanted to become an artist and go to art school.

He tried to get in and was rejected twice, once before his mother died, and once after
she died.
Next, Germany wasnt in the best condition before Hitler was in power. World
War I, had just recently finished being fought and Germany and the Axis powers had
lost. The Allied Powers had forced Germany to sign the Treaty of Versailles, which
forced Germany to pay for all of the damage costs from the war, and give up taken
territory such as; Poland, West Prussia, Belgium, and and Czechoslovakia. Germanys

economy was in a very bad condition and was unstable, and a large portion of the
German population was homeless and lived in poverty.
Last, here is some vocabulary that you might need to know in order for my paper
to make sense. Genocide, is the extermination of a certain race or group of people.A
Nazi, is Hitlers type of government, he was also a Fascist.Fascist, government ruled by
dictators and the people of the country cant disagree with the governments decisions
or the get put in prison or executed. The legacy of Adolf Hitler was negative because he
politically sabotaged German. His ideology brought genocide, and he used military that
nearly destroyed Europe. Hitler was a political enemy because he used propaganda,
and he brainwashed the people of Germany, and he rose to power and took complete
control of Germany.

Politics
Hitler was a political enemy because he used propaganda, brainwashed the
people of Germany, and took complete control of Germany. First, his propaganda was
one of the biggest reasons that he was able to rise to power. He was a very motivational
speaker and told the German people that Jews were bad. He created influential posters
saying heil Hitler and Jews are bad and he hung them up in and around movie
theaters, the newspaper, books, and said them on the radio.("Propaganda in Nazi
Germany". HistoryLearningSite.co.uk. 2014. Web.) He forced teachers to take the
Jewish students out of their classrooms and kick them out of their schools, and made
the teachers teach that Jews were bad and Hitler was good. In addition, he was
brainwashing Germany, without the German people knowing it. He made the people
think that Jews were bad with his propaganda. He would blame the Jews for Germanys

mistakes. He forced the bosses of the workers fire the Jewish employees just for being
Jewish. The citizens of Germany would trash the Jewish homes by breaking the
windows, throwing eggs, and many disrespectful things.
Last, Hitlers plan was titled The Final Solution. To begin, he had an idea of an
Aryan Race which consisted of a human being with blonde hair and blue eyes, and of
a Christian nationality. Next, his plan was to exterminate all of the Jews in Europe, by
sending them to concentration camps to prepare for extermination. Last, the final part of
his diabolical plan was to take over and control the world. He would do this by using his
method titled the Blitzkrieg. (History.com)

Ideology
Clearly, Hitler was a political enemy because he used propaganda, he
brainwashed the people of Germany, and he rose to power and took complete control of
Germany. Adolf Hitler brought genocide to Germany with Mein Kampf, by wanting to
take over and control the entire world, and attempting to rid the world of Jews.
A good reason that those unfortunate events occurred was the inspiration from
his book titled Mein Kampf. He wrote this book while in prison. It talks about his wants
and beliefs for Germany. In English Mein Kampf translates to my four and a half years
of struggle.
An equally important topic is the fact that Hitler wanted all of the Jews in Europe
dead.He would send the Jews to these concentration camps. Here they were treated
like they were inferior, and made their lives horrible while they were there. And the Jews
couldnt leave or escape unless they wanted to be killed, which is what some of the
people wanted. They also were killed by the gas chambers. The German soldiers told

Plahuta 4

them that they were showers and they were killed. Furthermore, he also wanted to
control the world. First, he wanted to take out all of the Jews and start to create his
Aryan Race, which was a human with blonde hair and blue eyes and of a Christian
descent. He even forced the teachers in schools to teach that Hitler was the best fix
for Germany, and remove the Jewish students from their schools or punished them with
beatings.

Military
Hitlers military accomplishments were good in his eyes. He invented the
Blitzkrieg attack method, he almost controlled all of Europe, and he took on the USSR
during Winter. First, his new unstoppable attack was called the Blitzkrieg. While using
this method he nearly took over Europe. This was a very effective method and there
was no way to stop it. He used it every time in battle to completely destroy his enemies
on the battle field. Next, he went and attacked Great Britain. The German dictator used
the blitzkrieg method on any country that stood in his way. Britain had no defense, and
the only reason that he didn t take total control of Europe was because Hitler tried to go
after the USSR. During these battles Hitler made two crucial mistakes. He didnt come
prepared for the war in the area of supplies. And he attacked the Russians during the
Winter season. With the two countries combined there was a total of over one million
casualties per battle.("Battle of Stalingrad."History.com.)
A few more things to note are the results of this worldwide disaster of what Hitler
did. Some may ask, how are these people treated today? Well, there is still some
discrimination today in Germany. Today, the German people and the Jews of Germany
are free to do whatever their hearts desire. Despite the fact that an entire generation of

Plahuta 5

ancestors was lost these people (the Jews) dont look into the past but towards the
future. Germanys view on Jews today is much different than what it was in the 1940s.
Some people are still disrespecting the Jews in Germany because thats how they grew
up and were raised. There is still some discrimination against the Jews but that is
something that they must overcome in order for them to have a bright future. Last, is
how Germany is today economically. Their country in in tons of debt and counting. Their
economy is very unstable. And millions of people live in poverty and dont have a home
at all.
To sum up, the legacy of Adolf Hitler was negative because, he politically
sabotaged Germany, his ideology brought genocide, and he used military that nearly
destroyed Europe.
